IFSCA Launches First-Ever AML/CTF Certification Course for IFSC Compliance and other professionals
Gandhinagar: Chairperson of the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA), Shri K. Rajaraman, launched the customized certification course “NISM-IFSCA-01: Certification Course on Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing in the IFSC,” developed jointly by the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) and the IFSCA Academy.
2. The launch ceremony was attended by Shri Sashi Krishnan, Director (NISM), Dr. Praveen Trivedi, Executive Director (IFSCA) & Director (IFSCA Academy) and other senior officials from both IFSCA and NISM.
3. This marks the first certification course introduced by the IFSCA Academy. The programme aims to strengthen practical capacity and enhance awareness among compliance professionals in the areas of Anti Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist-Financing. As per Clause 8.4 of the IFSCA AML, CTF and KYC Guidelines, 2022, the certification has been made mandatory for Principal Officers and Designated Directors of all IFSCA-regulated entities. The certificate course can also be undertaken by other professionals including IFSCA officials.
